She’s dangerous, with a twist of hot. The Buxom Bandit’s tale is one of bad ideas, even worse execution and modern day titillation. Her meteoric rise to world wide attention, due to her attention grabbing cleavage and comic criminal abilities, has also led to a complete lack of a criminals greatest weapon, anonymity.
Handing herself in on the 6th of July, Tonee Renee Walker 22, is now alleged by the courts to be the Buxom Bandit. Leader of the Buxom Bandit gang Walker has been charged with the robbery of an Arundel service station, on the night of Monday July 2nd.
Stealing $300 from a stunned male worker the Buxom Bandit was captured by the petrol stations security cameras. The security footage of the crime has in the week since gone viral, with the story breaking world wide. Walker has it seems managed to attract record levels of attention without even trying.
The scene, late Monday night on the Gold Coast (Australia’s most popular beach location), a car load of four teenagers driving a stolen car aimlessly. Looking for some excitement Tonee has a bright idea, the Buxom blonde has some criminal mischief in mind. Asking the driver to pull into the local petrol station and armed with short knife the task was clear, it was time to rob the petrol station.
With possibly one of the most ill conceived robbery plans in many years Tonee set off. The sensible idea of concealing her fingerprints was poorly met by the single glove. The snow beanie while stylish and smart was also poor at concealing her identity, with her excited facial expressions fully exposed, her long blonde hair and ample bosom, she was very identifiable.
The Buxom Bandit and her driver have now handed themselves in to police. First the alleged getaway driver, Alexander Joshua Spinks, handed himself in on the 5th of July. The next day appearing before the courts to reveal more details of the circumstances of the crime. Confirming the spontaneous nature of the incident and adding that Walker adjusted her ample cleavage in preparation for the alleged crime. Walker had adjusted her top to give the service station clerk she was about to rob “something to look at”. She may have overshot her target slightly and given the whole world something to look at.
Only a few hours after Spinks appeared in court the alleged Buxom Bandit, Walker, attended the same Southport Magistrates Court to address a previous conviction for shop lifting. With ample opportunity to arrest the leader of the Buxom Bandit gang she walked away from court a free bandit, momentarily. Creating a strange situation that initially suggested immunity for Buxom. Walker didn’t however have immunity or do a runner, revealing her true identity to the Runaway Bay (Gold Coast) police the next day.
Speculation is running rife regarding the reasons for her voluntary admission of guilt. Here at Highpants we suspect she was so easily identified that all of her friends texted her with various humorous interpretations of ‘hey b*itch ur Buxom Bandit’. Now, she also has a new nickname amongst said friends, independent of her own opinion of the name.
Her motivations for the crime can best be described as hunting for excitement, a desire for a thrill or rush. As a thrill criminal she does what she does because she knows it’s bad. Crossing the line gives her the shot of adrenaline she desires. The money itself is not an essential ingredient to the thrill.
The Buxom Bandits crime spree lasted a short 5 days, with only one alleged robbery under her belt, yet she has received Bonnie and Clyde levels of publicity. With her thrill criminal tendencies and buxom super powers used to stun victims and amuse the world the Buxom Bandits tale is above all a tale of titillation.
