Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, Alien Fans Prepare To Be Stunned…

The most highly anticipated science fiction film of 2012 is building up to its June release. Prometheus, Ridley Scott’s latest science fiction master piece has already spawned 3 viral preview videos along with countless interviews and even a few spoof viral videos, and there’s still 6 weeks till it’s release.

Seeking to fill in some of the questions left unanswered from the original Alien film, Prometheus goes to the most unusual places. While Aliens 2, 3 and 4 where an action tangent based on the story of the original film Prometheus is a new story based in the Aliens world, the Alien world before the first film, an Alien prequel if you will.

Set in the year 2058 the crew of the Prometheus are sent to make first contact, one of the longest long distance calls in history. The crew journey to Zeta Reticuli to meet with their creators. Terraforming Paradise, the Gods were said to be proud of their high tech human children, their most advanced creation.

Aspects of the android are raised once again, intertwined throughout the story. Don’t call him Dave his name is David. The Happy Birthday David viral video introduces this new old David as well as many of the fundamental android questions. Managing to be more than a little creepy David is the quintessential android.

Action and adventure follow as the crew struggle to save the world while ultimately dooming us all. Prometheus looks to be dark and gripping, with Ridley’s special blend of suspense with a dash of horror set in a spectacular science fiction setting.
